As WordCamp Chicago wraps up, just wanted to do a quick post about Facebook Live. I thought this was a perfect chance to experiment with Facebook’s new instant video tool. While I spent most of the sessions manning the front desk, I had the opportunity to see two great talks on content.
One by Jessica Garbarino on video content. Another one by Jeff Large on podcasting.
Both sessions gave me some great ideas. I recorded a few minutes of each presentation below, as well as got some good ideas from both presenters.
What really amazed me was the fact that both of these live videos were only live for a few minutes. However, the one with Jessica already has 130 views after one day. Jeff’s video has 45 views after only 4 hours. That is despite the fact that my video skills on his presentation were not that great. Definitely more a testament to his content.
Let me know what you think of the videos below. I also show you how to create a quick Facebook live video in three easy steps.
