The time has come to show someone who is using social networking successfully in their business through the Social Networking Power Profiles series. This week I wanted to showcase someone who is just starting to use social networking, and already beginning to see the results: Ebe Osaigbovo. Ebe is a financial advisor with Wealth Guru U. It is a university for learning about how to use your finances correctly. He used one or two principles here from my blog to set up his own blog and start translating that blog following over to social networking, where he has over 800 devoted followers.

When did you start using social networking? 1 month ago
How did you start learning about social networking platforms? In-person event, classes, webinars, on the job experience? I learned from not living in a hole, Haha. j/p. I learned mostly from peers.
What is your favorite social networking site for business? Why?
I love twitter for business because it is very easy to find your target audience, connect with them and stay connected with them.
Do you have a specific strategy that you use to be more effective when using social networking? Yes I use a strategy that Andy Nathan shared with his network through his blog. I like to call it targeted following. You will understand what it is if you ask Andy or see his blog post.
How has it changed your business? I have gained almost 1200 followers in 1 month and that continues to grow, with very little time spent, about 3 hours/week and at no cost.
What was your biggest mistake in social networking? Not starting sooner! (to use an appropriate cliche)
What would you tell people starting out in social networking to focus on today? Educating themselves on how to use it most effectively
What direction do you see social networking going in the future? I see it as important as 1 day, companies requiring job applicants to submit access to their social profiles for review before hiring people. I see it becoming an essential component to actively participating in society. Not just for recreational use.
Thanks Ebe for that awesome insight into how you use social networking for your business!
If you know anyone who uses social networking successfully, please let us know on Twitter @andynathan. We are looking for additional Social Networking Power Profiles.
Hi Andy,
I love the interview format of this blog post (not enough of those around if you ask me!!)
Isn’t it wonderful when someone puts in to practice what you teach and succeeds, fabulous!
Kind regards,
Emma 🙂
Awesome… Ebe’s got it!
Educating yourself is the single most important requirement to succeed in an online business. Great results for someone who’s just starting out! Everytime someone takes things seriously, results will come and I sincerely think there’s no exception to this rule.
Those who don’t agree have certainly quit too soon.
Congrats to Ebe and those who make things happen just like him!

It’s a great idea to present a profile/ interview with someone who is new to social media and is getting good results already. It seems like most of what is out there is from the point of view of an expert.
