Brief Bio (no more than 300 characters) I’m an attorney and a therapist. I help people in conflict find solutions that work for all concerned without resorting to someone else’s decisions or rulings.
When did you start using social networking? Several years….almost as soon as I heard of it.
How did you start learning about social networking platforms? In-person event, classes, webinars, on the job experience? All of the above…mostly just by ‘playing’ with it.
What is your favorite social networking site for business? Why? I’m learning more about Yelp! and liking what I’m finding. It’s more directed toward actual prospective clients.
Do you have a specific strategy that you use to be more effective when using social networking? I wouldn’t yet call it a strategy. More still in the stage of seeing how they each work and integrate.
How has it changed your business? Not yet.
What was your biggest mistake in social networking? Initially and for a while I took them, especially facebook, too ‘seriously’. I’ve been ‘self-disclosing’ a bit more of late, while still being mindful that they are NOT 1-on-1 private communications.
What would you tell people starting out in social networking to focus on today? Finding their own comfortable place between “what I had for breakfast” and “Nobody wants to hear anything I might say”
This has been your social networking power profiles for the week.
