At WordCamp Milwaukee last weekend, I got to see a new WordPress Plugin launched called SEO Extended. The plugin was created by the Orion Group as a way to help WordPress SEO By Yoast users keep all their Title tags on Yoast correct for all their posts.
The plugin does multiple title and description edits at once, so you can edit multiple WordPress SEO By Yoast titles and descriptions without the hassle of going into each post.
Social Networking Minute: SEO Extended
SEO Extended Notes
This is the first version of SEO Extended. They will be coming out with new updates in the next few weeks to make this process even more automated. Plus, they will be setting up features to help All-In-One and other SEO plugin users with their titles and descriptions as well. Check out the plugin on WordPress.
Thanks! This concludes our weekly Social Networking Minute On SEO Extended!
Hey thanks Andy, I’ve seen bits and pieces about this new plugin but – as usual – you’ve provided a great review. I will definitely take a closer look. Thanks!
Thanks Marquita! It is a great plugin to check out! How are you by the way?
I’m a big fan of Scott’s new plugin! Huge time savor! 🙂
Glad you enjoy the plugin Mike!
Be very, very sure to allow for site owners to fully disable any meta functionality you write. I regularly, read: daily, advise people to change themes when their theme has a lot of SEO stuff embedded that is just plain wrong or collides with other plugins. Make no mistake: a portion of your users, probably a large portion of your users, cares about their SEO. Getting it wrong is worse then not doing anything, so if I were a theme author I’d most definitely opt for the latter.
Thanks for the insights!
The WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast is on most lists of ‘must-have’ WordPress plugins. As much as is written about, the extensive set of options it provides can seem intimidating, especially to newer users.
