Providing the correct social media maintenance for your vehicle is just like car maintenance. I was thinking of this analogy today as I was getting my oil changed. The fact is that everyone business person wants their social media campaigns to go on without them indefinitely until the money just rolls in.
Reality dictates that you have to provide some social media maintenance to ensure the engine for your prospect building runs smoothly. Without that maintenance, you will eventually found yourself stuck on the side of the road wondering why your car just died out.
Why would anyone expect any less of their social media efforts. You have to provide the correct social media maintenance, and then you can resume your prospecting activities from social media.
That means we need to take a look under the hood every once in a while to ensure that we get the most out of our social media efforts. Otherwise, we are just asking for trouble.
Andy totally agree with your post here man. All the automation tools in the world will not help if don’t at least as you say check under the hood every so often.
I think it is critical to maintain some sort of tether to the online world we want to participate. With all the advances in smartphones and other devices there is really no excuse.
Like what you have done with the place

Steve,
Like the addition of the analogy with the checking under hood!
Andy
Hey Andy, thanks for the good analogy.
You can not simply expect to lay it out and expect it to run by itself. You have to be behind the wheel at least some of the time to adjust the cruise control, fill up the gas, etc.

Your welcome! Glad you enjoyed the analogy. You definitely have to be behind the wheel to make sure that your social media policy works.
