I have been doing some research lately on how to increase Youtube views. Increasing Youtube views is one of the areas of my social networking that I get, and at the same point have not spent enough time to fully develop how to increase Youtube views. I believe it is time to change that, and below are some of my realizations that I have made over the past few months as to how to get additional Youtube views, plus I included a video that I quite enjoyed making.
How To Increase Youtube Views Video
While this takes a more enjoyable view at finding additional Youtube views for your Youtube video, in my mind it is really key to add humor to your Youtube videos. That is one of the 8 methods below that I discuss for how to increase Youtube views.
How To Increase Youtube Views With These 8 Methods
- As I stated above, use humor. or at least find a great way to engage with people emotionally. Emotions matter with video as much as information. When it registers with them emotionally they will be more likely to remember the information.
- Start adding subscribers. The best way to do this is by subscribing to potential clients, referral partners, and others interested in your future Youtube videos.
- Share your Youtube videos across your social network. Make sure that your Facebook friends and Twitter followers know about your Youtube videos. I make sure to always share videos on Twitter as much as humanly possible, because it is a great way to kick-start quality video traffic from your target market.
- Put the videos on your blog, so people can go to your Youtube videos from your blog. Ahem! Check out my video on Youtube! Ahem!
- Have a group of people who can share your Youtube videos and like them. I am part of TSA Mastery, or Tribe Syndication Alliance. The goal on their site is to help members promote each other, and foster closer relationships between the members. It is really great for promoting your Youtube videos. I will be discussing TSA more in an upcoming post. Update: Another Tribe which is better for promoting blog posts, however, works great with video blogs is Triberr.
- Pay for traffic. Youtube is owned by Google, so you know that you can always do PPC ads to attract visitors to your videos. This is not the first tactic I would use, but keep it in mind if you are looking for large traffic numbers.
- Pray to the gods of viral! I mean make your video good enough that it can go viral from person to person. Check out other videos that have gone viral for ideas on what you can do. Then adapt your video, so it is not the same as the ones that came before. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but without taking additional steps will get you nowhere in internet marketing.
- SEO for Youtube is definitely nice. Every year Youtube gets better at taking the words and sounds that are in your video, so they can convert them into text. The reason this is important to you, is that you have to be cognizant of the fact that your video should be easy to find using keyword research on the site, or even on Google.
So, now that I have done the research it is time for both you and me to put this into action. Go to Youtube, subscribe to me, and I will subscribe to you. Then let’s both create awesome videos that will turn heads. That is how to increase Youtube views.
Thanks for the tips Andy. I’m still hesitant to put myself on video but I believe I’ll have to do it someday soon if I want my business to gain more audience. I think it is easier for guys to go on video than women. We have to put on make up and stuff to look good 🙂 When you have 4 young kids at home, looking decent (and not like the maid) can sometimes be difficult. Anyway, I will remember some of your tips here especially about the keywords for SEO.
Andy,
Great tips. Humor is always one of the best ways to keep people coming back. Anything that makes a person feel good. I used to do a lot of videos, and now I need to get back to it. Video is so powerful. I am going to put your tips to the test as soon.

Very well done Andy and great timing for me. I’ve been a loyal YouTube user for a long time but have yet to venture into posting my own videos. Changing that is definitely a priority. You’ve shared some great tips – I have one I’d like to add. Pay as much attention to the audio as the visuals. I have seen so many videos on YouTube that look good, but the sound was off in some way and that just defeats the whole point.
Hi Andrew,
Good tips! I have to admit I’ve been slow to get involved with YouTube … except for viewing and commenting on other people’s videos. Item #3 in your post seems to be a quick and easy way to get the word out.
Thanks for sharing, Susan
Hi Buddy!
Awesome post and great to have you as a resource to come back to in so many various topics. Video’s are definitely something to ivest further and embrace the more you grow online… One method I have learned during my short online career is to use videos as well to promote your articles and blogpost… The best to submit them through some paid services to spread over 100’s of websites… The key of videos is don’t let them be islands of it’s own – instead go and share them so that people with the same taste with come along and start letting them go viral.
Gave a great week ahead, Andy!!!
All the best,
Alex
Hi Andy,
thank you for the great information on how to increase your views.
I will mark this post as information to come back to in the future.
Being part of the TSA definitely helps to go viral since there are so many people that could read it and share it. Especially when you are the no 1 syndicator.
Congratulations on that achievement.
Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
Cheers,
Yorinda
Hi Andy, definitely agree with your tips about adding humour and being part of a group such as TSA!
I would also add that taking the time to keyword research each video and optimise both your videos and your channel will pay dividends – don’t wait for you-tube to optimise you – make that your number 1 priority each time you upload a video and providing you choose appropriate long-tailed keywords you will find your videos ranking quite quickly.
Thanks for the tips 🙂
Andy,
This is good information that I can use to improve my videos. I haven’t been concentrating a lot on Youtube, but it has always been my plan to put more emphasis on video in due course. Thanks for this post. I especially like the idea of using humor in video because as you said it’s important to connect with viewers on an emotional level.
Hello Andy!
Great valuable advice you have given here. I agree humor has a big part to play when communicating. Now I just have to figure out how to be funny, when I am not! LOL
Anyway, I enjoyed your post!
Your friend,
Lynn
Hi Andy, as video is becoming more and more important in brand promotion – your post and tips are very timely. A simple step that I have seen many not do is put their URL in the very first part of the Youtube description. I actually use humor quite a bit – if we don’t laugh we will cry right? Have you used Xtranormal to make any videos? I have found that people either really love them or hate them – not much middle-ground. I love them and have used little skits inside other videos. Another tip I didn’t find out until fairly recently is to use a Google video sitemap on your blog. I didn’t even know that existed but it does and it is easy enough to do.
Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom!
Hi Andy
Great post on the benefits of you tube.. excellent.
It just goes to show that we all have a lot to learn about getting viral traffic…we definitely need to consider your tips on mareketing via youtube….thats the beautry of the wordpress platform. So flexible and just lots of great opportunities to go viral.
Thanks again
Peter
You Tube Traffic? Wow. You would think it was just the quality of the video. Thank you for better ideas than just waiting for the infection of viral traffic.
Each of these methods adds a few more views. The views add up a little at a time unless you actually drive real traffic with pay per click or syndication. (If you are using PPC be sure the video starts on autoplay so you get the view for each visitor). As the views climb then SEO opportunities also go up.
Success breeds success. Thanks for this helpful hints.
Hi Andy,
Thanks for sharing these 8 solid tips to increase YouTube views.
YouTube videos are an excellent way to really show your personality and to further brand yourself as an expert in your field.
Working with a group of like minded, serious Networkers like with TSA is an awesome way to get the word out about your videos and really increase those all important views.
As you stated, Google loves YouTube vids and with a little effort, we can get our videos ranked very well in the Search Engines which will lead to more traffic.
Keep up the great work and keep these tips and techniques coming,
Marc
Hey Andy
Those are some really simple tips, Youtube has evolved in a couple of ways. Their layout, the look of the video player etc. Although I haven’t done any videos I plan to soon but I really wish there were more options to optimize ones video- a few come to mind though.
Would you recommend any black or gray hat techniques for boosting views? I have seen some services out there that you can pay for views which seems super cheap but have to wonder if there is any sort of negative effect that may have on your video. I have also seen some pieces of software out there that make some bold claims but who is to say if it really works.
Have you tried any of the methods I mentioned? I know sponsored videos is also a way to get more views, kinda like PPC for videos.
CJ,
Beware the temptations of black or gray hat techniques. Google has been cutting down hard on a lot of those techniques. I have been getting a lot of traffic recently from Google, because my techniques are above board.
Since Youtube is a Google product, I would not advise you to go that route here on this blog. Some of the software works and some does not. If you do use it, create a new account. If it get’s suspended (Probable) you always have your main account.
I have used PPC for videos once. It was ok. I did not put that much money into it at the time. Your best best is working with TSA members on getting the most out of your video traffic.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Andy
