Update: Google+1 is now defunct. If you want to ensure your digital marketing does not go the same way then schedule a free

A month back I was discussing the new Google +1 social network that was coming out. Well, great news! The Google +1 Social Network is out, and available to the public.

The one caveat is that they are in limited release right now, so you might have to wait your turn to get in (or repeatedly knock on their door until they let you in). Knock! Knock! Who’s There? Google? No, I am Google, Google Who? Google Plus One! (Bad Joke!)

Because they are still working out the kinks in the system, Google is letting people in at a slow and steady pace. What that pace is, I do not know. However, be patient and you too will get the golden ticket to the new Google +1 Social Network.

In the meantime, please enjoy the video below to get a better idea of how the new Google +1 Social Network actually works.

Google +1 Social Network Thought Process

First, this site is a great example of Google. It is not groundbreaking, but it is a creative step forward in how social networks should work. They took all of the best parts of Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks to combine them into one network. At the same time, the classic Google simplicity is here as well. This reminds me of when Google first dominated search traffic. They simply made it easier to use their site than Yahoo.

On the reverse side, there are so many sites that go out and say they are the next Facebook. They stuff everything into the network they can think of, until people are confused.

Google does not have to be the next Facebook, because Facebook is trying to be the next Google. So, they took the approach of how can we be better than everyone else and still keep it simple. Much better than Google Buzz. I would like to say better than Google Wave, but you waved goodbye to us to early. This is no Orkut, which is nice. I think they might have finally had the soft landing in social networking they have been looking for the past few years.

A few final words would be that I would not be the Social Networking Schmoozer if I did not ask you to connect with me on this new social network. That being said:
