Email Blast Software just sounds bad! Right? I mean why would you want to blast anyone? Unless they were a real son of blaster! So, instead let’s call this a really nice way to send out soft touch email…Blast it! Email Blat Software sounds cooler! OK! Enought with the “blasts” for now.
So what is the purpose of Email Blast Software? Very simple!
Instead, of just sending out an email one by one until you get caught up in the innate craziness of it all, you get the chance to connect with more people at once.
Now, this topic will go into the holy land of quality versus quantity. The camps of which have fought back and forth since time before time. The better question is which one is better.
I would like to come to a conclusion that both are great!
Think about this! Have you ever heard that you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince? The idea is that most people have to talk to a lot of people before they find the right person to spend the rest of your life with. Ah, young love!
The same thing holds true in business. Those who say that business is a relationship business ignore the fact that you might have conversations with 100, 200, or 1000 people before you find the right person to build a deeper relationship with for the long run.
Additionally, when you find the right prospect, client, referral source, or partner hold on tight. I mean, do not strangle them, but keep tabs on them to build that relationship. That way, you have the ability to nurture a profitable relationship.
So, what does this have to do with the email blast software. When you use the right email marketing strategy you can talk to a wider audience faster and still build a relationship at the same time.
I use Aweber for this strategy, because it is very good at helping me build my list effectively. You can build a quality opt-in list, add great template emails, and finally monitor your email campaigns.
That is what is great about email blast software. You have the ability to reach more people (Quantity) and provide great information that builds relationships (Quality), so you have the best of both worlds.
Now that I have ended the quantity versus quality war, on to world peace! Also, get your piece of some great email blast software.
Hey Andy
AWeber is one of the best email management tools out there.
You nailed it on what makes for a great emailer but don’t forget about deliverability as well.
Peter
Peter,
Glad you agree! Deliverability to me should be a given for any email management tool. That said, I once got a free offer for my first 10,000 emails free. The problem was that only half my list got the email. When I contacted the vendor, who wanted me to promote their product they never responded. Why would I work with someone who can not deliver my email to everyone.
Andy
Hey Andy,
I use Aweber as well and love it. Although I don’t like to think of it as email blasting. Instead I like to think of the email marketing as a way to keep my clients, friends, list updated on what is going on in my life and to share tools with them that I think will help their business or their life. I think this is a quandry for many marketers. If you’re providing valuable information that your list wants, the more people will stay on your list. The trick is to not get bummed out over everyone who opts out – I know I clean up my lists every so often. I even pay to be on a few lists. Now, that is a crazy marketing strategy 🙂
Kidding aside. It is important as a marketer to build your list and to communicate with the members of said list. Some will become great customers and as you said, the relationship has to start somewhere.
Vanessa,
I agree with you. I just like the word blasting! Sounds fun!
The quality of the content is crucial. I spoke on that more in past articles, but thank you for bringing it up here as well! I consider all the people who opt out from my content as people who were not ready for greatness! Helps me filter out those I need to spend my time with.
Andy
Thanks for another interesting article Andy. Since I’m also a fan of Aweber I’m well aware of their email blast capabilities and I do use it – primarily to send newsletters to my subscribers. They just make the whole process so darn easy!
Marquita,
It really is so darn easy!
Andy
Hey Andy,
I use Aweber too. It is so easy to figure out and the support is excellent. It might not have some features to do some fancy stuff but it sure is a workhorse when it comes to building you list.
Joyce,
I like that. Aweber is definitely a workhorse!
Andy
Andy,
Wow, email blasting takes me back to those wonderful days before people felt they were being spammed. I used an email scrapper and would let software find email addresses on the Internet and then truly blast emails out to those folks. But, those days are gone and probably for the better.
Aweber seems to be the email marketing tool of choice here. You remind me it’s time to send another note to my list. Thanks!
RICK
Rick,
Sort of like talking about paradise right? That would have been a very interesting time to be able to build your internet business. I wish I had taken more advantage of those times just to learn more about the business.
Let me know how your current email campaign went!
Andy
Hey Andy,
Another great, short, and simple post. I’m not familiar with Aweber since I use GetResponse. Heard they are both equally great. Do you have any pros and cons for the two? I know that the price is slightly higher for Aweber. As far as deliverability (as Peter mentioned up above) I have had good delivery from GR.
Looking forward to returning to your blog. Thanks Andy.
-Jaclyn Castro
Jaclyn,
I have never really used GeResponse, so I am not 100% sure what the differences are on the reverse side. Aweber just works smoothly, which is what I care about.
Andy
Aweber is indeed a very good tool for managing our emails. But we should take not about the factor of deliverability of any email tool. I’m kind of interested with Email Blast because of the title of your post. 😀
Aurea,
How are you interested in the email blast? What do you want to know more about?
Andy
