Social Networking Minute: Buffer App Toolbar

The Buffer App Toolbar on Firefox is at the heart of this week’s Social Networking Minute. This is a really cool syndication tool that helps you schedule content from blog posts throughout the day. You determine which social networks get the content, and at what times throughout the day.

This walk-through assumes that you already have the Firefox or Chrome app to quickly Buffer blog posts throughout the day. However, if you do not you can quickly install this. The link here provides all the places where you can add the Buffer tool.

Social Networking Minute: Buffer App Toolbar Walk-Through

As you can see this is a simple tool to use for your social sharing. The Buffer App tool on Firefox is becoming one of my favorite toolbars next to my SEO, LastPass, and Stumbleupon toolbars. Maybe next week I can go through some of the other toolbars that I have not discussed to give you a good idea of how these toolbars help me navigate the web quickly. In the meantime, I want to know your thoughts on the Buffer App.

Social Networking Minute: StumbleUpon Toolbar Download

This week’s social networking minute dives into the StumbleUpon toolbar download. One of my favorite toolbars, this one completely changes how you share information online. Instead of stumbling around the new website design StumbleUpon initiated last year, we now have the opportunity to explore sites at our own discretion. Also, the toolbar is a tremendous benefit when I am on a site, and just want to stumble it out to my connections.

However, instead of me yapping on and on explaining how cool it is, let me show you how cool it really is.

Social Networking Minute: Google Plus Shared Circles

This week’s social networking minute discusses how to use Google Plus shared circles to connect with your target market on Google Plus quickly and easily. Arguably one of the best features of Google Plus is how they help organize your social network into circles. These circles help you talk with different groups quickly and easily throughout the platform.

One of the recent developments allows users to share their Google lists with others. Essentially, if you have a tight network of people you are connected with, and want someone else to connect with them you can share your circle with them.

For a marketer this is a dream come true. You find shared circles that other marketers have created to connect with your target market.

Social Networking Minute: Google Plus Shared Circles

This is an easy exercise to use to connect with your target market. Just make sure that you do not go crazy and just connect with people. Remember that once you connect you need to start building a relationship with those who reach out to you.

You can do this through a number of different ways, including creating great content, calling people, helping those in your circle solve their problem, and just being there and a part of the conversation.

Social Networking Minute: Slideshare Presentation

One of the most under-utilized weapons in an online marketers arsenal are Slideshare presentations. These quick and easy cousins of Youtube videos and blog posts often get neglected between all the different content marketing strategies people use on a regular basis.

However, with the plethora of different slideshare presentations most business professionals have created in their career, this tool is an ideal way of generating traffic and buzz about your services, knowledge, and brand. Plus, it could be an awesome lead generator for you as well. Bonus!

Social Networking Minute: Slideshare Presentation

As you can see Slideshare presentations have the power to communicate your message just as strongly as you would through other social media channels with a lot less competition than posting content on sites like Youtube and Facebook.

To get an idea of a sample presentation check out the slideshare presentation I created earlier this week below.

Social Networking Minute: Google Plus Communities

Google just released their new Google Plus Communities. This is the social networks group feature to go along with the other social features for Google Plus. We will explore the community feature in this week’s Social Networking Minute.

I recommend you log onto your Google plus account as we go through the video below, so you can quickly get started with the new Google Plus Communities. They are simple to join, interact, and create. Perfect place to make some great connections.

Google Plus Communities Review

First, here is the Social Media Community I create on Google Plus from the video.

Second, this is a cool feature to the site. It might be one of the best they have used to help people connect with each other on the social network. My only question is what took them so long to create Google communities. It just seems like something you would create at the start to help people connect with each other.

The feature actually makes more sense than the convoluted Google Plus Pages, which are confusing to navigate and understand with the Google Plus Local interface.

I hope this helped you have a greater understanding of how the Google Plus Communities work.  Looking forward to seeing you in a community sometime in the near future. What are your thoughts on the new communities?
